Cawthorne Open Gardens
A great walk around open gardens in Cawthorne. Well done to all the garden owners, everyone different and enjoyable.
Feel free to use any of these photos, just link them back to me

Two castles, one old and one new, or newish; built by Sir Walter Raleigh. A very long walk round the grounds. I am certain the stone dog is the original…
The dragonflies were out in force today.
Portland Castle, Cerne Abbas (a man with a big tool) and Cerne Abbbey
Lytes Cary Manor, followed by Muchelney Abbey then a steep walk up the hill at Montacute
Lots of walking, but good weather for it.
Really good to be able to walk around the gardens of Montacute House after hours. Just us and the wildlife.
A day in the City of Wells, visiting the Bishops Palace; alas no sign of the “Baby Eating Bishop of Bath and Wells” though the portrait did look like it…
What a lovely village . A stroll round Montacute first thing in the morning, a few black and white shots in the churchyard; and a photo of The original “Scream”
Back from a week in Somerset, visited Tyntesfield house on the way down. Last 2 are Montacute and the cottage we stayed in on site.
