Excellent day for a walk to the lighthouse and back, about 6 miles. Bird life was a bit scarce though we heard many including a cuckoo.
No dogs allowed onto the reserve which means the area is not festooned with bags of doggy doos and it keeps the place a bit cleaner.
The new visitors centre is really good, friendly staff and good BLT reasonably priced with a great view out of the window.
Just watch the tide times else you may be cut off, they are posted in the centre. Don’t be mean use the car park and pay the £5, it goes to the upkeep of the place and not into some councils pockets.
